Hip Hop documentary Microphone Check removed by Amazon

Amazon is under fire for accusations made by Tariq Nasheed and his supporters for removing his new documentary Microphone Check. The movie, before allegedly being removed, was the #1 documentary on Amazon.

The movie explores the true origins of Hip Hop culture. Directed by Tariq Nasheed, this groundbreaking film offers a blend of interviews, archival footage, cultural analysis, and rich historical context of all the fundamental elements of hip hop, including DJing, MCing, graffiti, and breakdancing. The film centers its cultural roots in Black American culture (FBA), Foundational Black Americans.

This year celebrates the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop and breakdancing’s inclusion as a sport in this year’s Olympics, highlighting the issue of not honoring the origins of pioneers like Trixie. You can sign the petition for the issues being raised below.
